We start by listening, asking follow-up questions, and listening some more. We try not to put words in your mouth. Instead, we hone in on your ideas and the language you use. We don’t necessarily need to be experts in your field. What we do know is how to structure and deliver stories and ideas to your ideal ears and minds. We’re like a clarity filter for your idea faucet. 

Start Where You Are
Your job is to do what you do best. Articulate what you want to say to the best of your ability. We’ve begun with everything from a finished PPT to the seed of an idea. We’re good at finding the patterns that connect, the rhythm and beat of a message, tuning the notes up and down to your concept.

Signal to Noise
Navigating the broadcast spectrum these days is a constantly evolving art. The right message needs to head out on the right media, with the right context and timing. We and our secret cabal of collaborators are always looking for the new-new thing.

Design is storytelling. The mastery of visual language and integration of the written word are essential to any story. The medium must be native to the message, and the design and editorial voice must be native to the one doing the telling, whether the teller is a high-tech company or an indie hip-hop label.

Deep Collaboration
It’s our experience that clients innately know what they need, and will know it when they see it. Our job is to pose the right questions, interpret yours, and create editorial and visual solutions that you can react to. If we do our job upfront, we’ll get pretty close to where you want to go on the first round and refine from there. We prefer a deep collaboration from the outset, so we can get it right early in the process and refine as we progress.

Done and Done
Big-sky thinking is wonderful and all, but the last, unsexy 10% of a project is often the most challenging. Yet it’s that final 10% that makes your idea real. We stay with your project until it’s done-done. This approach pays off: Most of our clients are repeat customers, many of whom we’ve worked with for years.
